This exhibit was prepared to support expert testimony of the structural engineer. It illustrates the mechanism by which the structure failed.

Deterioration of structural beams and columns concerned the owner that the parking deck would eventually fail catastrophically, leading to loss of life and property. Symptons included cracking in the beams and columns, resulting in some chunks of concrete falling. The deteriorating upper deck allowed rain water to penetrate to the lower parking level. The columns settled, creating a floor depression around the base of each column.
